The entire spectrum of the single population was surveyed.  Single men and single women along with young single adults and single boomers (mature single adults) and singles in all income brackets are participating in online dating.

Single adults under 35 make up almost half of online daters.  Nearly one quarter of the group surveyed are middle aged singles participating in online dating. Nearly one-quarter of online daters were between 35 and 44.

Single parents made up 16% of the 2.5 million adults surveyed. Single parents are 185%+ more likely than the average adult to have dated online.
