London Sailing

Little Ship Club has a long and proud tradition.  Whether your interest is sailing or motor cruising, whether you are a beginner or an old hand, becoming a member will bring you a host of benefits.  Tuesday night is Club night, when they have a published programme of lectures, talks or slide shows. During sailing season the Club organises rallies on both the East and South coasts plus several abroad. These rallies allow members to meet at a destination, have dinner in a local yacht club or hotel and generally have an enjoyable social weekend. Rallies are a good source of crewing opportunities and the Club runs a very good Skippers and Crews organisation for those without boats.  Little Ship Club

Royal Thames Yacht Club is the premier sailing club in the British Isles for both yachtsmen and yachtswomen. The Royal Thames is the oldest yacht club in the United Kingdom. Members of the Royal Thames participate in a growing number of yachting and sailing events worldwide. Hampton Sailing Club  It boasts competitive class sailing on one of the better reaches of the Thames and members enjoy both sailing and other social events in a structure which encourages participation, involvement and sociability. Hampton Sailing Club

Ranelagh Sailing Club was founded in 1889 and enjoys a superb and convenient location on the bank of the River Thames. The broad, two mile stretch of the Tideway has produced excellent and challenging sailing. Year-round racing is offered at Ranelagh with an appealing program of races on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays. Tidal conditions limit sailing in the winter to every second weekend, but in the summer we exploit the long evenings to offer midweek on-the-water training when tides allow. Class racing is offered for National Twelves and additionally Merlin Rockets, Solos and Lasers. In addition we run a number of handicap events, open meetings and special races including a charity pursuit event and a race down-river to the Tower of London and back. Ranelagh Sailing Club

CTC - the UK's national cyclists' organisation More than 70,000 people support our work for cycling and use our services. They range from novices and family groups to offroaders and hard-riders. It is through membership fees, donations and fundraising that we pay for CTC’s work, making us a truly independent voice. Members count. Surrey Cycle Racing League aims to provide a full years cycle racing for all categories of riders especially at grass root level. The Surrey Cycle Racing League is the UK's premier cycle racing league, providing racing for over 800 riders in over 140 races per year. Surrey Cycle Racing League

London Phoenix Cycling Club is actively seeking new members who are interested in joining the club, whether your interest is for leisure riding or racing.  They offer at least one club ride a month (sometimes more) in both the on and off road sections, and a social calendar which straddles the North/South divide.  If it's racing you are after or you just need a partner for those long, wet winter training rides then you will find many members who ride at many different levels in all disciplines. They are registered with the BCF, so you can apply for a licence and race up to national level. You will find our members road racing at Eastway, Hillingdon, Crystal Palace and in the Surrey League. London Singles Outdoors/Adventure Clubs

The Climbers' Club  is a national club with about 1200 members. The club owns some of the best hut accommodation in the country with properties in North Wales, Pembroke, The Peak District, Cornwall and recently Scotland. There are regular meets in Britain and abroad, and two dinners per year plus other social occasions. There are also opportunities for summer evening meets and indoor winter evening meets. Central London Outdoor Group is for people in London interested in outdoor activities. It is run by members for members. They meet in Central London, but  members come from all over London and occasionally beyond. Although their main activity is walking, they also offer opportunities for many activities (eg day walks, backpacking, weekend hiking, canoeing, caving, cycling, sailing, etc) and stay at all sorts of places e.g. Youth Hostels, B&B, camping etc. Members also organise lots of social activities (eg trips to restaurants, plays, films etc). There is a small annual membership subscription of £25 and trips are run at cost. Prospective new members can try them out on up to three outdoor or social events before joining.
