Habitat for Humanity:
is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, Christian housing organization. They work in partnership with the community and families in need to build simple, decent, affordable
housing in the city of Portland.
Portland Habitat for Humanity Big Brothers Big Sisters - We pledge to inspire hope and success among youth, primarily those from single parent families, by developing and strengthening one-to-one relationships matching carefully selected, committed, volunteer mentors with youth in need. 503-249-4859 Big Brothers Big Sisters of Portland American Lung Association of Oregon: is working on behalf of the more than 300,000 Oregonians with lung disease today... to help prevent, as well as cure lung disease for the coming generations of tomorrow. We are accomplishing this by educating local communities throughout Oregon on asthma and other lung related diseases, by being of service to those individuals who suffer from respiratory related ailments, by legislative advocacy of such timely health items as air quality, tobacco and smoking related issues, and by funding respiratory related research here in Oregon.
