Oregon Nordic Club Portland ONC activities include day and overnight trips, most of which are held on weekends. Their outdoor trips are varied and include Nordic skiing, hiking, biking, backpacking, canoeing, and kayaking. The Portland chapter of the Oregon Nordic Club sponsors a variety of ski-related special events including a fall jamboree, gear swap, ski instruction, and monthly meetings with a wide variety of speakers and presentations. Mid-Valley Bicycle Club i s a recreational bike club open to cyclists of all ages and abilities. Are you a beginner or just getting back into cycling? Check out our shorter-distance, recreational rides in the calendar. Mid-Valley Bicycle Club Portland Wheelmen Touring Club promotes cycling and to provide a social organization for cyclists, boasting over 700 members. The primary focus of the club is recreational riding with up to two dozen rides being offered on a weekly basis, including rides every day of the year and many evenings. Rides are listed in the monthly Riders Digest available at most Portland area Bicycle shops. Portland Wheelmen Touring Club The Salem Bicycle Club: The Salem Bicycle Club promotes recreational bicycle tours in the local area. The club has grown to more than 400 members. Their primary activity is day hiking but includes many other outdoor activities and special events as well. They also help build and maintain trails too. Chemeketans owns a mountain cabin and schedules overnight trips there.
