San Diego Smooth Dancers (SDSD) is the local chapter of National Smooth Dancers (NSD), a California ballroom dance organization established in 1937. SDSD is a non-profit corporation that supports and encourages both social and competitive partner dancing. Theme dance parties are held regularly, usually on the first Saturday of each month. SDSD dance events are open to the public, $7 donation per person for regular socials; special pricing and advance reservations apply to dinner dances and certain gala events.
