Restaurant Bars and Wine Bars tend to have a more young single professionals. This is a great place for a single to meet other single professionals. The best time to go is between 4 pm and 7 pm when singles go right after work and aren't hammered. Many singles will go with a group of friends from work and invite other friends not associated with their office. A great way to meet new singles!

Bars and Taverns are another great place for singles to meet. Since people tend to spend entire evenings in bars or use them as social gathering places to "hang out" and meet their friends, different groups of people have their own types of bars. Elegant Cocktail Lounges and Wine Bars draw a more sophisticated crowd. These can be found in the better hotels or as part of "upscale" restaurants. Many larger cities have stand alone martini and wine bars that cater to a more professional crowd of singles.

Singles Wine Tasting  Wine tastings are a terrific way to meet new singles.   Wine tastings tend to attract young single professionals.  You learn about new wines, improve your knowledge, get a few new tips to impress your date when you order wine and in the process mix and mingle with a few new singles.   You may not find a date, but may make a few new friends that attend wine tastings and may meet someone new through your new friends.  This is a great way to meet single women.

Singles Beer Tastings   Beer tastings are male dominated.   A great way to meet men.   You will find a more mixed crowd with both young single professionals and some gray collar singles.

What are some other ways to meet Singles in New York?   Go to as many singles events as you can. Variety is the key.  Don't focus on any one type of group.
