Different strokes On the main Match.com menu, clicking Search
shows all six search options plus the Saved Search feature. And, while
each digs for different things, the same Quick Search controls are also in
Custom, Who's Online and Keyword Search. With six ways to search, you're
sure to find who you're looking for:
1. Quick search Perfect for casting a wide net, a
quick search allows you to select gender yours and theirs age
range, and location which can be a close as a few miles from your zip
code or as foreign as another country. Clicking Profile With Photos
boycotts pictureless profiles. Another choice, Display As Photo Gallery,
pulls up more profiles, while Display Details shows fewer profiles, but
more information on each. In either case, clicking on the member's
username summons their complete profile.
2. Who's online search Look familiar? This search tool features the
exact same options as the Quick Search. The difference: It's only looking
at
singles who are online now and available to chat.
3. Keyword search Employing the same broad controls as Quick Search
and Who's Online, a
keyword search can fine-tune your focus to people sharing similar
interests such as singing, skydiving or swimming.
4. Username search Want to return to a profile that caught
your eye? With a
username search, you just type in the exact member name, click the
Search button, and ba-dah-bing!
5. Custom search Despite its amazing ability to describe your
dream date in demanding detail, using Match's most versatile
search tool is cake. In fact, you already know how. It simply mixes
the same familiar Quick Search settings and matches them against the same
categories Appearance, Personality, Lifestyle, Background/Values, and
Relationship you filled out to create your own profile. Changing
anything, in any category even sliding a single importance level from
Absolutely to Somewhat to Not Very can domino dramatically different
results.
6. Mutual match This two-way
search system requires nothing more than a mouse-click to buddy-up
like-minded profiles. By matching what you're looking for against what
they're looking for, mutual matching delivers a precise profile set
complete with an irresistible percentile rating.
